Lost in Though (Scarlett/Alisson)

Scarlett Jackson focused determinedly at the water before her. She needed to learn to control her powers like her father had told her. She had inherited her fathers ability to control water. This would be unusual if not the fact that she was the granddaughter of Poseidon. Even after the prophecy was completed, Poseidon still had no other children with mortals, making Letties cabin very lonesome.

After a while of concentration she finally made a small stream float into a bubble and into the air. Shouting gleefully, Lettie did a little dance before stopping mid spin to see her sister starring at her.
"I did it Alli! I did it!" she proclaimed happily.

Alisson looked up from her book distractedly. "Yes, nice one, Lettie." She stared back down into her book and scanned the symbols. She picked up her pen and noted a figure and went back to scanning the text.

She was sitting cross-legged on a rock by the stream, supposedly keeping an eye on her little sister. Scarlett had decided that she wanted to practice her water powers that she has inherited from Dad, and Alisson was fine with that, unless she got splashed.

It was common knowledge that in their family, Dad favored Scarlett, and Mum favored her, and it was rather obvious that they had their favorite parent's abilities as well. Scarlett was always a water-person, and liked playing with it, hence why she could control water like their Dad.

Alisson on the other hand hated getting wet. Besides, she much preferred the company of books and scrolls. She was just like her mother.

She sighed. Alisson knew she ought to pay more attention to her sister, but she was in the middle of deciphering an interesting piece of text, and couldn't be distracted now.
